Audio and Video Production at Stewarts Creek High School
We are continuing to celebrate Tennessee's Arts in Education Week. Stewarts Creek High School is blessed to have both and audio and video production classes. The video production program is known as SCTV and some of their recent projects include:
1st Place award for Coverage of A Live Sports Event by the TN High School Press Association, and Broadcast providers for the Town of Smyrna Christmas Parade, Independence Day celebration, and most recently the Parks and Rec Volunteer of the year dinner. They also produce over 250 competitive video projects each year with 10 different media organizations.
The audio production program keeps busy producing podcasts, live event audio, and studio recordings. Mr. Josh Hoevelmann keeps his students engaged through hands on activities and outside the classroom projects such as Depot Days and other live events.
Between both programs they have over 200 students annually getting real world experience in the Live Event and Broadcasting field. With the industry moving closer to this area their goal is to give as many students opportunities on as many different job paths as possible.
