New Mural Approved for Trellis & Vine, Enhancing Smyrna’s Creative Scene
A new mural is set to bring fresh artistic energy to Trellis & Vine, a local business and arts hub, following its approval by the Smyrna Historic Commission this week. The project, which has been in development for the past year, aims to enhance the community space with vibrant, locally inspired artwork. The artist in charge of the design is Madison Pantuso. You can find out more about Madison's talents on her website: www.madisonpantusoart.com
According to Madison’s Instagram post celebrating the project, the approval process required a formal presentation before the commission, a step that can be daunting but is essential for ensuring that public art aligns with the town’s historical and aesthetic guidelines. Now that the design has received the green light, the work on the mural can move forward, adding another creative landmark to Smyrna’s growing arts scene.
The project is a collaborative effort supported by Trellis & Vine and Carpe Artista, two organizations dedicated to fostering the arts in the community. Their contributions continue to shape Smyrna as a hub for creative expression, providing opportunities for artists to share their work with the public.
As the mural takes shape, it will serve as a visual testament to the power of public art in strengthening community identity and engagement. More details on the design and timeline for completion will be shared in the coming weeks.
